The Cool Suburbs tool was created by the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) and Edge Impact to assess place- based urban heat resilience and guide practitioners in making evidence-based planning and development decisions.

Underpinned by ongoing engagement with a specially formed working group for the project, feedback integration and user- centred decision making.

Starting with low fidelity wireframes to establish a clear information architecture, we then focused on interactivity to enhance the experience of using the tool, and generate a deeper understanding, capability and awareness of urban heat.
